StatLab Consultant Hours in the Medical Library

The Medical Library and the Yale StatLab have joined forces to offer StatLab consulting services one afternoon a week on the medical campus.  StatLab Consultant Reuben Ng, a doctoral candidate in the School of Public Health,  will be available in the Medical Library Wednesdays from 1:30 to 5:30pm.  The consultants desk is located on the back of the Information Desk.

StatLab Consultants work in a question-and-answer mode to help people with particular questions that come up in their research or classroom activities using statistical software and statistical methodologies. Consultants can offer advice ranging from:

• "How should I enter to my data" to
• "What statistical program is best for my project" to
• "How do I get the program to run the analysis I want"

The consultants cannot provide long tutorial sessions. The consultants can help describe and explain methods and procedures, but they cannot prescribe particular methodologies or interpret results of analyses.
