The YalePrint UniPrint system is now fully functional and the preferred system for printing, copying and scanning in the Medical Library. This change brings us in line with printing and copying services in other Yale Libraries and campus locations. CCP, our former vendor, has generously agreed to keep one printer and one copier onsite through October 15 in order to accomodate those users who still have funds on the copycards. We encourage you to use your current balances as soon as possible and to not add additional value to CCP copycards.
YPPS UniPrint accounts are required to use the YalePrint/UniPrint system. Yale University students, faculty and staff can use their NetID or ID card card to access and pay for their print jobs, copies and scans to email. Yale-New Haven Hospital employees and visitors can easily create an account online with YPPS. A UniPrint Account Kiosk located in the Information Room makes it easy to create accounts and add value to existing accounts. Here are some basic facts and features of the system:
- Students who currently receive copycards from the Library will have their UniPrint accounts credited with funds
- Others can easily create online accounts, adding value with a credit card, debit card (must have MC or Visa logo) or PTAEO
- All devices are multifunction printer/copier/scanners (scanning is to email only)
- Pricing: Double-sided (duplex) copying and printing is encouraged and is the default print option. Double-sided b/w copies and prints will on average cost $0.06 ($0.10 for the first side and $0.02 for the second side). Single-sided b/w prints and copies will cost $0.10. Full color is billed at $ 0.30 per page and scanning is $ 0.01 per page
