Covidence access is now self-service for Yale University affiliates with a yale.edu email address. You can sign in with your Yale CAS credentials and create new projects directly in Covidence without librarian setup.
Yale New Haven Hospital affiliates should continue to request access through the Yale Medical Library’s Search Service Request form.
How Does This Change Impact Me?

The access process has not changed.
To request access to a new Covidence project, submit a Search Service Request form and select Covidence Review Setup. A librarian will help set up access to your project.
When Should I Contact a Librarian?
The Yale Medical Library continues to support literature searching and evidence synthesis projects. Librarians can assist with:
- Developing and refining search strategies
- Searching multiple databases and translating searches between them
- Peer reviewing search strategies
- Evidence synthesis methodology
- Questions about searching and reporting
- Covidence access for Yale New Haven Health affiliates
If you are conducting a systematic review, scoping review, or other evidence synthesis project and would like librarian support, submit a Search Service Request.
