Starting August 18, 2025, work will commence to transform the Medical Library’s circulation area into a 24/7 community space complete with several soft seating options, workstations, and an accessible circulation desk.
The area outside the Medical Library’s entrance will also undergo a renovation, with new furniture and carpeting, and the installation of power banks. Both renovations are expected to finish by mid-September. During this time, we anticipate some noise disruptions; additionally, the after-hours book drop will be inaccessible.
Anticipated Schedule:
- Aug 13 – 15: Furniture in the circulation area will be removed. Seating and study space are available in our reading rooms, privacy booths, and information commons.
- Aug 18 – 21: Demolition of wall. Please anticipate some noise disruptions.
- Sep 4 – 5: New security doors will be installed in the library’s circulation area. The installation will take place in the early morning hours and will not impact access to the library.
- Sep 5 – Sep 22: Accessible circulation desk and carpet installation
