Places to Study and Collaborate

The Medical Library provides multiple spaces for group study and meetings. Please note that meeting rooms are not for individual study. Food is not allowed in any of the library spaces. Reserve many of these spaces at http://rrs.yale.edu using the "CWML Standard Request - 16 or Fewer People" template. If you do not see the CWML room reservation templates, please email your name and net ID to AskYaleMedicalLibrary@yale.edu. You may book one room per day for up to two hours.

Meeting Rooms

The Information Commons offers four meeting rooms on the E-level. Additionally, there is a conference room with seating for up to 20 people in the Cushing Center.  Reserve these spaces at http://rrs.yale.edu using the "CWML Standard Request - 16 or Fewer People" template. If you do not see the CWML room reservation templates, please email your name and Net ID to AskYaleMedicalLibrary@yale.edu. Each room is equiped with a PC computer (requires Net ID login), monitor, and HDMI connection. Adaptors are available to borrow at the circulation desk. Please note that meeting rooms are not for individual study. Food is not allowed in any of the library spaces.

Cushing Center Conference Room

Room Features

The Cushing Center Conference Room is located within the Cushing Center on the G-level (one level down from the Information Commons).

Features: ceiling mounted microphone, camera, whiteboard, and HDMI, VGA, USB connections

Capacity: up to 20

 

This room may be booked at least 2 business days in advance using the "CWML Special Reservation - More than 16 people" template on http://rrs.yale.edu. While there is no charge to reserve the space a COA will be required. Please provide a facilities work request number for setup/cleanup and a ServiceNow request number for AV support only if you will be using these services.


Small Classrooms

There are six 16-seat classrooms on the E-level and two 16-seat classrooms on the first floor. Reserve these spaces at http://rrs.yale.edu using the "CWML Standard Request - 16 or Fewer People" template. If you do not see the CWML room reservation templates, please email your name and Net ID to AskYaleMedicalLibrary@yale.edu. Each room is equiped with a Mac mini (requires Net ID login), wireless connection, HDMI connection, large monitor, and whiteboards. Please note that meeting rooms are not for individual study. Food is not allowed in any of the library spaces.

First Floor Classrooms

112A & 112B

Main level 16-seat classroom

There are two 16-seat classrooms on the first floor just off the rotunda. The classroom configuration may be altered depending on the needs of the group.

E-level classrooms

Rooms E24, E25, E26, E27, E28, E29

E-level classroom

There are six identical E-level classrooms with flexible seating for 16 individuals. The classroom configuration may be altered depending on the needs of the group.

 


Special Requests

Room 115

Room 115 is a large, flexible classroom on the first floor that can accommodate up to 125 people. The space features three large projection screens, dozens of tableside monitors, flexible seating, whiteboards, and a presenter podium with a built in Mac mini, overhead projector, confidence monitors, and sophisticated room controls. This room may be booked at least 2 business days in advance using the "CWML Special Request - More than 16 people" template on http://rrs.yale.edu.  While there is no charge to reserve the space a COA will be required. Please note, your request to book the space will not be approved until you provide a facilities work request number for setup/cleanup and a ServiceNow request number for AV support. 

E-level Combo Classrooms (E24/25, E26/27, E28/29)

E-level combo classrooms

Classrooms on the E-level may be opened to accommodate up to 32 people. Combo rooms are labeled: E24/25E26/27E28/29. Combo rooms must be booked at least 2 business days in advance using the "CWML Special Request - More than 16 people" template on http://rrs.yale.edu. While there is no charge to reserve the space a COA will be required. Please note, your request to book the space will not be approved until you provide a facilities work request number to open and close the room partitions. You may also want to consider placing a ServiceNow request for AV support.
